Hijama, also known as cupping therapy, is a traditional treatment that has been practiced in many cultures for centuries. It involves placing special cups on the skin to create suction. In some forms of hijama, small superficial skin incisions are made before suction is applied to remove a small amount of blood (wet cupping), while other forms use suction only (dry cupping).
