Schools
Habibieh High School was initially established as a modern school to replace the traditional religious education system and quickly became one of the main centers of education in Afghanistan during the 20th century.
The school suffered extensive damage during the civil war in the 1990s and was later rebuilt with international aid, including from the Indian government.
Today, it is one of the largest schools in the country, enrolling thousands of students in multiple shifts.
