Ghazni, Ghazni
Masjid Sharif
The mosque is named after Imam Abu Hanifa, a reference to Imam Abu Hanifa Nu'man ibn Thabit — one of the greatest Sunni jurists who lived between about 699 and 767 CE (80–148 AH) and founded the Hanafi school of jurisprudence.
This mosque in Ghazni was probably built or named in recent times (recent decades), as monuments older than a few hundred years are usually mentioned in known historical sources, and there is no such date for this mosque.
