As a government secondary school for girls, Qala-e-Nou Girls' High School has historically been part of the formal education structure of Qala-e-Nou and has played an important role in girls' education. However, changes in educational policies in Afghanistan in recent years have led to restrictions on the operational status and student attendance at these levels, especially for girls in grades above sixth grade.
